Why do I get slightly different costs when I analyze the same part multiple times?

3D Spark orientation optimization tool uses a genetic optimization algorithm. Such algorithms do not necessarily converge to the same minimum. Even if they converged to the same minimum, the result would depend on the number of optimization iterations, which are limited to a reasonable number to save time and resources. Especially in the free version we have limited the number of iterations to save computing capacity. These deviations are mathematically expected, almost always insignificant for the final cost estimation and they should be considered as noise. Please contact us if you encounter unexpectedly large deviations.
